Rec-A-Day Day 365) Hole “Live Through This”

I had told only 2 people that I either wanted my last record for Rec-A-Day (the crowning jewel of my collection) to be my very own 7” or Live Through This on white vinyl.. since my 7” is still in the works here it is…a perfect record for a most perfect ending for an imperfect blog.

The story of how I acquired this waxxx is less than fascinating but worked out…well…perfectly. I have been looking for this specific one… the white vinyl of “Live Through This”…limited to 3000 (mine being #1836) that illusive white pony ,ya know?For years I found it online mostly available only in Japan, priced way high for big ol me and usually in a moderately fucked up condition. Then as luck would have it the rock gods smiled upon my little blog. After months of being off ebay I returned randomly when I was getting my shit together in L.A. and there it was in the U.K. with just enough time for it to make it’s voyage across the ocean and into my arms before the 365th day. Perfect timing! I paid about 130 or so U.S. buxxx for it but my maxxx bid was much higher so who the fuck cares (bratcore status… I always get what a I want). The seller was so kind that he sent me an extra Hole 7” inch and a very polite note.

I don’t have a lot more to write… for fuck sakes all I have left are damaging secrets and they aren’t all mine…YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. (still saving them for the tell all) But I would like to say music has always been a constant in my life esp Hole music. So much so that my own mother told me to get a Hole or Courtney Love tattoo which caught me completely by surprised (esp because she knows I’m anti band tattoos). When I asked her way she said “Well ever since you started listening to Hole.. no matter what other music you were into her and her band have always been a constant” AWWWW! Again I just wanted to say thank you for all the love and for being there through the break ups, break downs, break throughs and record breaking (and I do literally mean record breaking just look through the archives). Though this was a pain in my ass at times I would do it again in a fucking heartbeat… just this one NOT another one… though I have way more than enough records I can’t shit out words daily… you all deserve better than that. I love you guys and grrrls…. much love and respect. Thanxxx for living through this.

No favs because this is my fav record ever… I mean if I could only listen to one album for the rest of my life it would be this one.
